The new Pulser reachstacker series is the latest cargo handling solution from Liebherr Maritime Cranes. Its compact design unites state-of-the-art technology and environmental-friendliness. The first model, type LRS 545, is the efficient link between quay and yard, standing for productivity through agility.
The LRS 545 is designed for driving comfort and stacks five containers in the first row. Moreover, it is capable of handling 45 tonnes in the first and 31 tonnes in the second row. It is equipped with a powerful but economical 4-cylinder 230 kW diesel engine. The in-house developed motor is in compliance with the latest EU Stage IV / EPA Tier 4 final emission standards.
Liebherr Maritime Cranes’ unique Pactronic, an optional hybrid drive, is also available for the Pulser series. Installed in the new reachstacker, the maintenance-free Pactronic allows for an additional 110 kW without fuel consumption or emission. The drive mechanism of the new machine is characterised by a hydrostatic transmission. This allows for stepless speed control with optimised diesel revolutions per minute, which means operators benefit from reduced fuel consumption.
The new strong link in the logistic chain of ports and terminals perfectly complements the comprehensive portfolio of Liebherr Maritime Cranes. The Pulser range will be further expanded in the long run.
