Two Potain MC 310 K12 tower cranes are building a new, five-star luxury hotel in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The top-slewing cranes are currently constructing two tower blocks for phase two of the Shangri La Hotel Development project taking place in the heart of the Mongolian capital. The project, valued at approximately $274m, includes a 34-story residency, a 24-story office building and an entertainment and retail center that will reach five stories.

Each crane has a maximum capacity of 12 t and is equipped with a 65 m jib; one lifting to a height of 140 m and the other to 110 m. Gyeonggi-do, Korea-based crane rental company, LIFTEC, supplied both machines to main contractor, Samsung C&T, on a 24-month contract.

Both cranes will be working at the site until December 2015.
