Terex Cranes has awarded its inaugural Terex Continuing Education Scholarship to Lee Rucker, a student from Kansas City planning to study a Masters degree course in electrical engineering at Lindenwood University, Saint Charles, MO.
The $3,000 per year scholarship was awarded to Rucker by the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association’s Foundation (SC&R Foundation). Rucker is the son of SC&RA member James Rucker, maintenance supervisor at WireCo World Group, Kansas City, MO.
The Terex Continuing Education Scholarship is a new corporate-named education program that comes in extension to the SC&R Foundation’s existing scholarship programme. Initiated in 1986, the Foundation has already offered nearly $300,000 in grants and scholarships to help to advance the education of SC&RA member company employees and their family members.
The Terex Continuing Education Scholarship will be applied at a rate of $3,000 per year for seven years to a student studying for a Bachelor or Masters degree in fields related to the specialized carriers and rigging industry.
