A partnership with the Austrian company Welser was also described, this organisation produces special profiles through roll forming – a technology which produces repeatable and reliable results. This allows Socage to create complex profiles with materials such as DOCOL SSAB. The forSte 28D, was the first machine to result of this work and has been the basis for the entire E Series.
There are nine models in the E series ranging from a 16 to 28m working height: five are double articulating models with working heights of 21 to 28m, four are telescopic models from 16 to 23m working heights, jib options are available on some of the models. They have a 300kg basket capacity and have been designed to be to be mounted on a 3.5t vehicle.
The light structure is achieved through by the use of 1.5mm thick high strength Docol 1200M steel for the booms, the welding, carried out by Welser, contributes to added strength and weight reduction.
Socage launched its 15 m van mount at the event, which joins the 12m version, which was introduced at SAIE in October 2014. The 15VTJ has a telescopic boom with a jib and two outriggers. The machine has a 225kg basket capacity with a 360deg rotation
