Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Cranesy you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of them, please do not use the site.
These Terms apply to every visitor and to anyone who submits content (advertising inquiries, news submissions, comments) through Cranesy.
Editorial content and accuracy
Cranesy publishes news, analysis and editorial about the global crane and lifting equipment industry. We strive for accuracy in everything we publish, but content is provided as is. Cranesy is not a substitute for professional engineering, legal or safety advice.
Operators and other professionals must verify safety, regulatory and load-chart information against the manufacturer's documentation, certified rigging plans and applicable local law before acting on anything they read here. Specifications, prices and project details may change after publication without notice.
If you spot a factual error or inaccuracy, write to us — we publish corrections promptly and openly.
User submissions
When you submit content to Cranesy through the news-submission or advertising forms, you warrant that:
- you own or otherwise have the right to publish the text and images you submit;
- the content does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- the content is factually accurate to the best of your knowledge;
- you are authorised to act on behalf of any company you list as the source.
By submitting content, you grant Cranesy a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, publish, archive and distribute that content (including across our newsletters and social channels) and to keep an archive of the published version. You retain copyright in the underlying material.
We may decline to publish any submission for any reason, edit submissions for length, clarity or accuracy, and remove published content if a corrections complaint or legal notice warrants it.
Copyright
All editorial content authored by the Cranesy team — articles, headlines, layouts, brand marks and accompanying photography credits — is © Cranesy, all rights reserved. You may quote up to fifty words from any article for the purpose of news reporting, comment or review, with a clear and working link back to the original story.
For longer reuse, syndication or licensing, contact us at the address in the contact section below.
Manufacturer names, model designations and logos referenced in our coverage belong to their respective owners. Their use on Cranesy is editorial and does not imply endorsement of, or by, those manufacturers.
Permitted use of the site
You may:

- print or save articles for personal, non-commercial reference;
- link to Cranesy from any non-misleading context.
Prohibited use
You may not:
- scrape, mirror, frame, deep-link or otherwise systematically extract Cranesy content for resale or redistribution;
- use automated agents to access the site at a rate likely to disrupt service for other readers;
- use Cranesy content to train commercial AI models or other machine-learning systems without prior written agreement;

Paid services — Premium & supporter contributions
Cranesy offers two kinds of paid product:
- Cranesy Premium — a recurring subscription (monthly or yearly) that grants ad-free reading and access to the Premium weekly newsletter. Premium requires a Cranesy account so we can link your subscription to your reading session.
- Supporter contributions — one-time or recurring payments that fund editorial work. These do not change what you see on the site; they are donations to keep Cranesy independent.
All payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Cranesy never sees, stores or transmits your card details. We receive only the limited customer record Stripe shares with us (email, country, last-four card digits, subscription status). EU VAT is applied where required and is included in the displayed price at checkout.
Pricing, billing currency and tax treatment shown at the moment of checkout are authoritative. We may change pricing for new subscribers at any time; existing subscribers will be notified of any change to their renewal price at least thirty days before it takes effect, and may cancel without penalty.
Billing, renewals and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (one month or one year, depending on the plan you chose) using the payment method on file with Stripe, until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard; cancellation stops future billing while leaving your access intact until the end of the period already paid for.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries for up to one week. During that grace period your access stays active. If recovery does not succeed within the retry window, the subscription is cancelled by Stripe and your access ends.
The full refund and cooling-off rules — including the EU fourteen-day right of withdrawal — are set out in our Refund policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Romanian and EU law, Cranesy and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the site — including loss of profit, loss of data or business interruption — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the site shall not exceed €100.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cranesy and its owner from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) the content you submit to Cranesy; or (c) your unauthorised use of the site.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Cranesy is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bucharest, Romania.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. For material changes (for example new restrictions on use, or significant new licence terms for submitted content) we will additionally post a notice at the top of the homepage for at least seven days.
Continued use of the site after the effective date of an update indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
