Cranesy started in 2011 as a one-person side project — a place to collect the new-product announcements, project reports and operator stories that the wider construction press only ever skimmed. Years on, the brief is the same: cover the crane and lifting equipment industry the way somebody who actually cares about it would want it covered.
We don't sell hardware. We don't run sponsored content as if it were news. Our job is to read every release the industry ships, the project reports rental houses publish, the trade-show announcements that arrive in waves twice a year — and then to surface, in plain language, what's worth knowing.
The audience is mixed by design: crane operators, fleet managers, OEM engineers, rental specialists, brokers, lift planners, riggers, accessories suppliers. The throughline is that they would rather hear about a 700-tonne all-terrain than another quarterly earnings call.

Owner-operated. No corporate parent, no investor preferences, no exclusivity deals with any manufacturer.
Accurate.
Every story is verified against the original source — manufacturer release, operator statement, project documentation. We name and link the source.
