AAL heads to Port Hedland

1 min read

AAL has loaded a 410-tonne air cooled condenser (ACC) unit on board its vessel AAL Nanjing in Changsu, China destined for Australia’s Port Hedland.

Shipped on behalf of Panalpina Energy Solutions, the cargo will form part of a major upgrade project at the South Port Hedland power station.

The 150 MW combined-cycle natural gas-fired power generation facility is under construction in the Boodarie Resource Industrial Estate, approximately 13km south of Port Hedland, Western Australia. The project’s first power is expected in 2017.

Another ACC unit will be loaded in Changsu later this month for the same project, explained AAL line manager Mauro Capano.
