The American crane hire company Ideal Crane Rental splashed out at Bauma 2016 and ordered Liebherr cranes from three different product areas.

The company with its head office in Madison, Wisconsin (USA) decided on the new model of the fast-erecting crane 81 K.1, which is exhibited for the first time here at Bauma. Ideal Crane Rental ordered four of the machines, which are produced in Biberach an der Riss (Germany). The American company also ordered a telescope crawler crane, type LTR 1100, from the Liebherr plant in Ehingen in Germany, as well as a LR 1300, a 300-tonne crawler crane, which is produced in Nenzing (Austria).

“To sell three cranes from three product areas in one fell swoop to a single customer is something quite special even at Bauma”, stated Gernot Schranz, President Liebherr Nenzing Crane Co., following the conclusion of the contract. “The fact that the customer decided in favour of several products is a real honour for the entire Liebherr Group.”

Bob Kalhagen, owner and CEO of Ideal Crane Rental, was also very positive about the business deal. “We came to Bauma with firm ideas and were impressed that Liebherr were able to offer the crane types we were looking for. Our excellent experiences with the Liebherr cranes, which we already have in our fleet, also made our decision easier.”

In the meantime, there was another reason to celebrate for Liebherr-Werk Biberach GmbH: “We received orders for products from our entire range from customers and dealers from all over the world. For example, a big order for 22 tower cranes from Belgium”, stated Hans Martin Frech, Marketing & Market Management.
