Empire Sells First U.S. Demag All-Terrain to Auburn Crane

638

Auburn Crane & Rigging, Auburn, N.Y., has signed an order for a Terex Demag AC 250-5 all-terrain crane, the first Demag crane sold to the United States since the relaunch of the brand at Bauma. Auburn made the purchase through Terex authorized distributor Empire Crane Co. LLC., based in Syracuse, N.Y.

The Demag AC 250-5 crane, in the 300-ton capacity class, is a compact unit with a total length of just 47.6 ft., a carrier width of 9.8 ft. Its single-engine concept reduces operational cost and maintenance by using an intelligent motor management system to deliver the precise amount of power needed for lifting operations and while transporting the crane.

The AC 250-5 has excellent maneuverability with all-axle steering, independent rear axle steering and dynamic launch control. It can also be outfitted with the optional IC-1 Plus control system, which calculates lifting capacities for every position of the boom subject to the slewing angle of the superstructure.
This enables use of maximum lifting capacity, especially when lifting over the outriggers.
