Enerpac Demonstrates Latest Industrial Lifting Developments

Over 100 heavy lift contractors, machinery and industrial moving specialists attended the recent Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology Demo Days in Hengelo, The Netherlands. Themed ‘Industrial Lifting’, the equipment on show included new entry-level, hydraulic gantry systems, together with new developments in low-height skidding systems and trolley systems for jack-up systems.

Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology’s range of lifting systems comprises telescopic hydraulic gantries, strand jacks, Synchoist, jack ups, EVO synchronous lifting systems, split flow hydraulic pumps and skidding systems. For smaller lifts, there is also a growing range of high performance cylinders from ultra-flat (17mm stroke) to telescopic (600mm stroke).

Compact Gantry Systems

The entry-level SL60 and SL125 hydraulic gantries have a lift capacity (four legs) of 600 kN and 1250 kN respectively. Both gantries are electrically driven, ideal for inside a factory.  Wireless control allows the lift to be viewed from different positions giving users complete control where space is tight and precise control is vital. The gantries are compact and readily transported in a single container or flat-bed truck, and feature totally enclosed hydraulic power pack and hoses for safe operation.

“Our focus is giving industrial movers the largest possible range of gantry systems to choose from. We’re achieving this through greater standardisation across the range of gantries in terms of construction, components and design basis” says Jeremy Stubbs, UK Sales & Global Product Manager, Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology. “As a result, customer partners benefit from very fast availability of stock, enabling them to consider ‘our stock as theirs’ and bid for launching investment projects – even when they don’t yet own the equipment,”

Enerpac has also expanded the jack and slide options for heavy lift, rigging contractors and industrial machinery movers with the Low-Height Skidding System, The LH-Series Low-Height skid beams can fit in tight spaces, as small as 92mm, while still offering up to 400 ton skidding capacity with two push-pull units. The skidding system is available in an easily transportable carry frame.

More Lifting Options

A new addition to the range of lifting options for industrial machine movers is the Enerpac JS-Series Jack-up mounted on a trolley system. For the first time, the Jack-up is able to move along a pre-laid track in the same way a gantry does.  “Adding the trolley to the jack-up broadens the options for heavy lift contractors where mechanical load holding is required, or the lift is either too low or too high for a gantry or simply too heavy for a gantry to conveniently handle,” explains Jeremy Stubbs.

The JS-Series can lift loads from 125 – 750 ton per lifting tower. It is multi-point, synchronous lifting system with self-contained hydraulics in each unit for uncluttered work areas. Loads are lifted in increments as steel “barrels” are stacked together to form lifting towers.

Demo Days – A Great Success

Mart Hinnen, general manager, Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology, noted, “The Demo Days are a great opportunity to show industrial lifting companies the commitment that Enerpac brings to this market, both in terms of the capability of our lifting systems and the quality of our engineering and project teams. We look forward to working closely with heavy lift companies in growing their business.”
