Incheon International Airport located in Seoul started the new passenger Terminal 2 in 2013, and will be ready to serve international passengers arriving for the Pyeong Chang Winter Olympic Games in 2018.
The whole terminal project, including the expansion stage, is expected to be completed by 2025, and will be ready to support more than 62 million passengers and over 1000 daily flights.
The terminal has been constructed based on Korean design patterns representing Korean culture and traditions. The terminal has sculpture and exhibition areas, indoor streams, and indoor gardens. The flora and the fauna of the gardens are expected to reduce the costs of air conditioning and ventilation.
