Felbermayr F-57 TKX – The World’s Tallest Telescopic Boom
In mid-August, Felbermayr has brought the world’s tallest telescopic boom into service. At a maximum work height of 57 metres, it towers 17 metres above of the hitherto tallest boom of this type.
Excited about the new addition to the sky-blue fleet, Robert Bauer of Felbermayr Bühnen- und Staplervermietung (work platform and forklift rental) division, says: “at a height of 57 metres, the aerial platform can be moved without needing a support and can therefore be used in a highly time-efficient and flexible way.”
Using the new boom, even the 20th storey of a high-rise building can be reached. The technological masterpiece from Genie was officially delivered to Wolfgang Schellerer, managing director of Felbermayr Transport- und Hebetechnik (transport and lifting technology) who is equally excited to add such a device to the fleet and who is convinced that it will firmly establish itself on Europe’s construction sites. According to him, this will become reality due to the device’s compact dimensions and its horizontal reach of more than 24 metres.
The first of these devices will, for the time being, be stationed at Felbermayr’s Linz branch and will also be deployed from there. A second boom has been ordered and will be delivered to Vienna branch shortly. Felbermayr will be using these two articulating booms under the name of Felbermayr F-57 TKX.
