Goldhofer to Unveil Auxiliary-Drive Technology at Bauma
Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft will offer an overview of its transport technology in a variety of vehicle configurations at bauma 2016, to be held April 11-17. One of the attractions will be the new MPA-K series featuring a range of possible combinations. Goldhofer also plans to unveil new technology, engineered with an auxiliary drive for self-propelled heavy-duty modules, at the Munich show.
“We want to make it just as exciting as it was for the presentation of our MPA technology,” said Stefan Fuchs, CEO, who is convinced that Goldhofer will again attract keen attention at this year’s bauma show. “Those who know Goldhofer also know that our innovations are tried and tested solutions,” he continued. “That means customers benefit not only from our outstanding engineering but also in terms of greater flexibility and reliability as well as faster and easier mobilization – critical factors for economical transport operations.”
At the Goldhofer stand will be a Faktor 5 high girder bridge built for a customer in Mexico. Configured with a PST/SL-E self-propelled module with hydrostatic drive, this bridge is the eighth in the Faktor 5 series, which the Memmingen, Germany company introduced in 2013. “In the high-end segment of the heavy haulage industry, Faktor 5…has become a generic term for a whole bridge category, and that is something we are very proud of,” said Fuchs.
In the field of trailers and semitrailers, Goldhofer’s Bauma offering includes a three-axle low-bed trailer from the Expert series; a four-axle low-loader semitrailer with an intelligent wheel recess solution that makes it an all-rounder for moving construction machinery; and a 10-axle combination from the STZ-P low-loader semitrailer series with pendular axle technology.
Heavy-duty vehicle exhibits will include an FTV 300 blade transport device developed specially for transporting rotor blades for wind-power plants; a 12-axle combination with various modules from the THP/SL family; and a self-propelled module from the PST/ES-E series with hydraulic track width adjustment.
Another attraction at the Goldhofer trade show stand will be the latest developments within the proven MPA system with its wide range of possible combinations. At Bauma, Goldhofer will be showing vehicles with pendular axles and MPA axles.
