Hoisting a tank with a pair of Terex AC250-1
Marks Crane & Rigging, Odessa, Texas, recently provided a pair of Terex 300-ton capacity all-terrain cranes for Fenton Rigging and Contracting to hoist a 50,000-gallon tank.
The vessel, which measured 107 ft. long, weighed 140,000 lbs., reports Chris Martin.
“In order to safely load this tank, we used a pair of Terex AC250-1 cranes to pick at each end of the tank. After hoisting the tank we safely lowered the tank onto a heavy-haul trailer for the customer to take off- site,” explained Martin, marketing coordinator for M-L Holdings Co. Crane Group, which owns Marks, Crane Service Inc., in Albuquerque, and United Crane & Rigging, Dundalk, Md.
