Liebherr Nenzing Crane Co. has started construction of a new sales, service and parts distribution centre in Miami, Florida, USA.
The 40,000 square foot (12,000 square meter) facility, to open in early 2013, will serve the Central and South American market, as well as the Caribbean.
The new facility will also enable Liebherr Nenzing to showcase various types of machinery, including crawler cranes and foundation machines.
“Not only will we be able to offer even better service and support for our customers but we will also be able to showcase machines there, which will reduce delivery time and facilitate rentals in the South-East and Caribbean regions,” said Wolfgang Herzog, VP sales, South East & Caribbean, Liebherr Nenzing.
Customers, local dignitaries and senior management at Liebherr attended the groundbreaking ceremony, held in mid-March. Miami based Allegiance Crane & Equipment provided several Liebherr cranes for the gathering.
