Manitowoc Cranes China promotion

Jean-Noel Daguin has been promoted to executive vice president of Manitowoc Cranes China and will lead efforts to further grow Manitowoc’s presence in the country. Daguin – who will continue to be based in Manitowoc’s Shanghai offices – takes over from John Wheeler, who has relocated back to the USA.

Daguin joined Manitowoc 10 years ago as controller for the Asia-Pacific region. He will now report directly to Eric Etchart, president and general manager of Manitowoc Cranes.

Etchart said that Daguin’s successful experience with Manitowoc in his various assignments and his understanding of China made him a natural choice for the position.

“Jean-Noel brings a deep knowledge of the local culture and understands the strengths and opportunities available from our team in China,” said Etchart. “These strengths, combined with his financial background, leadership skills and business acumen, position Jean-Noel for success in his new role. I am confident he is the right person to lead our efforts in the important Chinese market.”
