- Salgert chooses Liebherr mobile cranes for their reliability
- LTM 1400-6.1 impresses with its versatility
A new Liebherr LTM 1400-6.1 mobile crane has been strengthening the Salgert Group’s fleet since April 2026. The company has deliberately opted for a crane featuring state-of-the-art technology so that it can continue to offer its customers high-performance and reliable solutions in the future.

Even during its very first assignments, the modern 450-tonne crane has fully met Salgert’s expectations. The LTM 1400-6.1 has carried out demanding lifting tasks and impressed with its operational flexibility and sophisticated technology, as reported by both Salgert’s crane operators and dispatchers. Company owner Wolfgang Salgert confirms: “The new LTM 1400-6.1 is the perfect addition to our fleet and opens up further opportunities for us on challenging projects.”
Focus on the user
The LTM 1400-6.1 features a 70-metre-long telescopic boom and is characterised by clever and straightforward set-up procedures. Salgert was also impressed by the crane’s high lifting capacity, its versatile applications and its great flexibility across a wide range of projects. “The crane enables us to cover a wide range of applications whilst offering cost-effective solutions for our customers,” says Salgert. With its extensive range of equipment, the functional modular boom system and Liebherr’s renowned technologies, the 450-tonne crane is extremely flexible and cost-effective to operate. “With this investment, we are not only strengthening our company but also laying the foundations to support our customers even better in the future,” says Salgert. He ordered the crane with a comprehensive range of additional equipment in order to cover the widest possible range of applications and provide his customers with maximum flexibility. This includes the Y-guying system for the telescopic boom, which significantly improves the load-bearing capacity. The LTM 1400-6.1 is the smallest Liebherr crane for which this technology is available. Innovative technologies ensure quick and easy set-up procedures on site.
With this high-performance new crane, Salgert is meeting the increased demands of clients as well as tackling projects that are becoming ever larger and more complex. With the powerful LTM 1400-6.1, the company is laying the foundations to continue carrying out demanding projects in the fields of industry, infrastructure, energy supply and heavy-lift installations reliably and cost-effectively in the future. Wolfgang Salgert explains: “The new crane strategically expands our fleet upwards. It enables us to handle projects even more flexibly and efficiently and strengthens our position in the field of large crane technology. At the same time, it offers our customers additional options for demanding operations.”
Thoroughly impressed by Liebherr

Our entire crane fleet comes from Liebherr. The high quality of the machines, the excellent spare parts supply and our long-standing, trusting partnership have reinforced our decision.”
