New Terex Boom-Booster kit for CC 8800-1 crawler crane

1 min read

Terex’s new Boom-Booster kit functions as an extension to its CC 8800-1 crawler crane, and promises big gains in crane extension and lifting capacity.

Terex claims the Boom-Booster increases a crane’s lift capacity by up to 90%, allowing it to out-lift any crane within the 1,000-2000 tonne-capacity range.
The Boom-Booster is available with new crane purchases or can be easily retrofitted to current models.
With efficient, cost-effective transportation a main objective, the product can be disassembled and shipped in standard 12.2m open-top containers.
Guntram R Jakobs, manager of product marketing at Terex Cranes, stated: “No other lift enhancing equipment on the market offers the balance of increased lifting capacity and low economical transport costs than the new Boom-Booster. The new boom configuration option will give a big boost to customers’ results in the field.”

The kit features a pin connection design that makes bolts obsolete. Boom sections can also be shipped to the jobsite partially assembled to further advance assembly speed.
