SAL Heavy Lift’s ship, “Svenja”, looks an impressive sight with five reactors on deck for its latest voyage

Loaded in Wilhelmshaven, Germany, and headed for the USA, four of the reactors weigh more than 1,450 tonnes and are nearly 50 m in length, with a 7.6 m diameter. The fifth weighs 540 tonnes and has a diameter of 6.85 m.

Svenja is on route to he Mississippi River, where the cargo will be discharged onto barges for transport to final destination.

SAL Heavy Lift says that the ship’s combined crane capacity of 2,000 tonnes certainly came in handy with this particular shipment.
