Max Bögl Transport und Geräte of Neumarkt, Bavaria has taken delivery of two new 350 tonne Terex AC 350/6 All Terrain cranes.

The six axle cranes are equipped with 64 metre main booms and heavy duty swingaway boom extensions. The 350/6 boasts a compact chassis and speed-dependent rear axle steering. Terex says that the AC 350/6 is the only 350 tonne crane with a front boom overhang of under two metres, allowing it to travel without additional escort staff/vehicles in several countries.

Foreman Herbert Wieseckl of Max Bögl group’s heavy equipment department said: “The fact that the Terex AC 350/6 is the most powerful crane in its class made it ideal for our purposes. The unit’s maximum hook height and the corresponding lifting capacity on the main boom and the strong fixed jib were—quite literally—powerful arguments when it came to making a decision.”

Contractor Max Bögl was founded in 1929 and employs over 6,000, it is the largest privately owned construction company in Germany.
