Scottish crane rental company Whyte Cranes recently added a Grove GMK6300L to its fleet. The 300 t capacity crane, the fourth to arrive in the UK, joins Whyte’s growing fleet, which the company uses at construction, installation, and energy projects throughout Scotland.

“We are very excited about this crane and its capabilities. We will take on more work and complete even more demanding lifts,” said Lawrence Whyte, owner of Whyte Cranes. “An 80 m boom on six axles is truly impressive, plus the crane can travel on UK roads with very little limitations, making it ideal.”

Whyte Cranes took delivery of the Grove GMK6300L at Vertikal Days 2013.

The GMK6300L will be based in Ellon, northeast Scotland, and will work at projects across Scotland. Primary lifting jobs will include wind turbine maintenance and work at petrochemical facilities. It was sold directly to Whyte by Manitowoc’s team in the UK.
