Construction cranes tower over State Farm office project in Richardson
Developers building State Farm Insurance’s huge new regional office complex in Richardson aren’t wasting any time getting the project going.
Developers building State Farm Insurance’s huge new regional office complex in Richardson aren’t wasting any time getting the project going. Dallas-based real estate firm KDC and contractor Austin Commercial have erected two high-rise building cranes on the site at Plano Road and State Highway 190. The cranes are visible from nearby North Central Expressway.
And the first levels of the office buildings and parking garages are coming out of the ground. While Illinois-based State Farm isn’t saying much about the project, the Richardson office complex is the largest such development underway in North Texas.
A similar project State Farm is building in suburban Phoenix is more than 1 million square feet and will cost almost $600 million.
The Richardson State Farm project is even bigger – by some accounts more than 2 million square feet. The complex will house thousands of workers.
