Donkerbroek and Hemrik Development Project

478

Recently, Wagenborg took care of the transport of a gas treatment installation for the Donkerbroek-Hemrik Development Project in Friesland (northern part of The Netherlands). This Donkerbroek-Hemrik production location will be redeveloped by Tulip Oil, a young Dutch Exploration and Production company that has its focus on the redevelopment of smaller production locations in The Netherlands and Germany.

The three largest modules for the gas treatment installation, with a maximum weight of 37 tons, were loaded at the fabrication yard in Oud Beijerland (The Netherlands) by Wagenborg. From there the units were transported by road to the nearest quayside, where transshipment into inland water vessel took place.
With a maximum length of 9 meters and a height of more than 5 meters, transport by road to the final project destination was not feasible.
After a smooth inland water transport to the port of Drachten, Wagenborg Nedlift cranes already arrived for the offloading operation onto special transport vehicles.
Supported by pilot cars, the convoy carefully drove the final 20 kilometers to the project site.
